Lynne P. Brown


Lynne has been Sr. Vice President for University Relations and Public Affairs at New York University since 2003. She is responsible of the University offices relating to communications including Federal Policy, Government and Community Relations, Community Service, America Reads/America Counts, University Events, Writing and Research, Advertising and Public Relations, Marketing Services and Electronic Publications, Media Production and Public Affairs. Lynne is also an adjunct professor. In addition to authoring numerous articles and papers on American politics she serves on the Board of Trustees of Manhattan College. Lynne received her B.A. from Smith College and her Ph.D. in political science from The Johns Hopkins University.

As a community leader for over 169 years, The McBurney YMCA has been creating and delivering high quality programs to more than 12,000 youth and adults each year. Located at 125 West 14th Street, it this modern facility offers a swimming pool, running track, cardiovascular center, computer center and a host of other amenities. Its range of social, recreational, health and fitness programs make it a cornerstone of the Greenwich Village and Chelsea.

 

Special Recognition Award...
Bob Zuckerman

Bob Zuckerman served as Executive Director of the GVCCC for over two and a half years. During his tenure, Bob doubled its membership, added new Chamber Champions, started the non-profit and LGBT committees, created Out To Work (LGBT’s Career Fair), and started the re-branding of the GVCCC. Prior to his work at GVCCC Bob was Executive Director of the NY Nightlife Association, served as Asst. Director of Development for the LGBT Community Center and worked as a public affairs consultant for progressive causes. He has a BBA from Emory University and a J.D. from American University.
