28th Annual Children's Halloween Parade in Greenwich Village, Oct. 31, 2018
New York University and Manhattan Community Board 2 will host the annual Children's Halloween Parade in Greenwich Village, which includes a march through Washington Square Park, face-painting, rides, and live entertainment from Hot Peas ‘N Butter and FogoAzul, an all-women Brazilian Samba Reggae drum line.
WHAT: New York University and Manhattan Community Board 2 will host thousands of ghosts, ghouls, and goblins (also known as kids, moms, and dads) at the 28th Annual Children’s Halloween Parade in Greenwich Village. Children and families will march around Washington Square Park led by FogoAzul and the Grand Marshals. Following the parade, the children will be treated to candy, face-painting, rides, and live entertainment, including Hot Peas ‘N Butter and DJ Ben the Beyonder.
The Grand Marshals for the parade have been selected for their commitment and service to the Greenwich Village community: Detective James Alberici, NYPD 6th Police Precinct, Jean Lyman Goetz, Festival Manager, Washington Square Music Festival, Maureen Remacle, Community Council President, NYPD 6th Police Precinct and Donna Schaper, Senior Minister, Judson Memorial Church.
WHEN: Wednesday, October 31, 2018. Marchers will gather at 3:00 pm at the fountain in Washington Square Park and the parade will start at 3:30 pm.
WHERE: The parade will assemble at the fountain in Washington Square Park, and will end at West 3rd Street between Mercer Street and LaGuardia Place where various activities will await children and families.

The parade provides very good, cute, daylight shots of kids in costumes parading around the park accompanied by parents. Good complement for coverage of the adult parade.
